Participatory Action Research Center for Education Organizing (PARCEO) was created in 2011 as a PAR-based education, research, and training center. PARCEO’s work grows out of a commitment to being a resource and support for groups and individuals interested in integrating or strengthening PAR into their organizing and research. PARCEO values its partnerships with a wide range of groups and communities. PARCEO operates in partnership with the Educational Leadership Program at NYU Steinhardt.

PARCEO works with groups that have, or want to have their organizing rooted in community and that believe in the importance of those most impacted by the injustices of a system being in the forefront throughout the process. PARCEO also works with those who are connected with community-based groups in a variety of different ways….

PARCEO achieves its goals through curricula and resource development; ongoing participation in the work of community groups; facilitation of workshops and trainings; one-on-one support; training the trainers; support for campaign development; website development; and community programs.
