Project Description

Might we consider a world where we no longer bicker and banter, a place where together we build the beauty other generations imagined and yet, never authentically pursued. Could it be that they, as we, adopted the precepts of peace and love, but we chose not to practice these. We were too inured to the patterns of tradition. We did not wish to leave behind the familiar. Feuds and folly. Where we were led we followed.

Oh, we say we will overcome. But how when we are dimmed by the hollers, not only theirs but ours? Today, just as in years past, we hone our skills. Slice. Dice. Do the other in. All the while you smile and say; he or she is a simpleton. And what of you? What are we? How much time did you devote to another’s demise, all in the name of unity?

We have all been left battered and bruised. Perhaps it is time to Observe and March On. It is #OurTime, #OurMarch ‪Mohammed Syed declares. He shares his Observations and asks us to look at ourselves, consider our past, and the prospect of a profound future. His plea – recall; we have the power to abolish hate. Let us educate in a way that brings about a world that implies love.

This video is in honor of Phillip Agnew’s (Dream Defenders) and Sofia Campos’ (United We Dream) movement, #OurMarch; promoting that this is our generations time to influence America, and the world. Most videos are two minutes, I went a little over time. This is a message to my generation. Music– We Move Lightly, Dustin O’Halloran. Poetry: ‪Mohammed Syed

We are a generation spurred into perpetual movement. Meaningless movement. Movement dishonest to our emotion and dreams. The dilemma, which comes to hand, which I cannot understand, is that we have yet to define our dreams. We create the world we live in. Our civilization was built by minds no greater than ours. We are all human. So why in these lands does tyranny and corruption have a hand and why do we let others define us? It comes to my mind to say that for some reason we are all influenced by the generations of yesterday. And violence, drugs, sexuality and nihilism is still able to find us. …? My dream is that we are architects of our own societal machines… We create the blueprints of equality and dreamblity….

I hope that the words we never said are all but out of our head…and that education brings about a world that implies love. I wish that we walk hand in hand…all races sexual and philosophical demands…and that we come together to understand.

I wish that morality be understood, that there be no economic hood…

I say, I shout, my generation hear me out…

We choose our shrines…

We have the power to abolish hate. We have the power to promote love, and the ability to break boundaries…

Do we do it? Let us begin.
