A Press Conference was held to announce a Citywide Education Coalition Calls For Chicago Public Schools Boycott. The Journey For Justice Alliance asked all parents to keep their children safe. It was recommended that parents and their progeny stay off the track that is school closures. Stand strong on August 28th 2013, and Boycott Chicago Public Schools! Instead, join the thousands of Chicago-area students, parents, advocates and community representatives who are expected to participate in the “Education is a Human Right” boycott on Chicago Public Schools. Rally on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 in front of the Chicago Board of Education and march to City Hall.
Hear the voices of those persons most affected. They will tell you there is danger on the path to school closures. The Chicago Public School system has proven that it cannot and will not protect the children or public education. Privatization is not the way. Please walk with us.
